Eye emergencies do not always happen during office hours. That is why Spectacle provides after-hours access to an on-call doctor for established patients of our clinics. When urgent eye concerns arise in the evening, overnight, or on the weekend, our on-call provider is available to help guide next steps and make sure you receive appropriate care.
Urgent Eye Problems Should Not Wait
Some symptoms may require prompt attention to protect your eye health and vision. Established patients should contact our office after hours for urgent concerns such as:
- Eye infections with redness, pain, discharge, swelling, or light sensitivity
- Sudden eye pain
- Sudden changes in vision, including blurred vision, flashes, floaters, or vision loss
- Foreign objects in the eye
- Chemical exposure to the eye
How Our After-Hours Care Works
If you are an established patient and have been seen previously at one of our clinics, you can call our office after hours to be connected with our on-call doctor for urgent eye concerns. After speaking with you, the doctor can help determine the best next step, whether that is home care guidance, an urgent appointment, or immediate evaluation in the emergency room.
Important for New Patients
Our after-hours on-call service is available for established patients only. If you have not been seen previously at one of our clinics and are experiencing an eye emergency, please contact your established eye doctor or go to the nearest emergency room.
Peace of Mind Beyond Office Hours
Knowing that urgent guidance is available after hours can bring peace of mind when unexpected eye problems happen. At Spectacle, we are committed to helping our established patients access timely care when it matters most.
